(Macomb, IL) -- Nearly 100 students and staff at Western Illinois University in Macomb are protesting possible job cuts at the school.

Western's Board of Trustees will vote this morning on whether to approve proposed layoffs that could include the Moline campus.

The school already let the contracts of 35 faculty expire last month.

The possible cuts come as the university needs to reduce spending by 20-million-dollars to balance their budget.
