(Waukee, IA) -- The Waukee Police Department is identifying the victim of a drowning on Thursday of last week.
Police say the victim has been identified as 31 year-old Keith Bychinski of Earlham. Investigators say Bychinski went into a pond on Thursday, August 8th to help some children nearby retrieve a fishing pole they'd lost in the water. He then started calling for help, and the children called 9-1-1.
Search and rescue crews found his body a few hours later.
