(Iowa) -- The Iowa Department of Education is receiving federal funding to expand the number of completed applications for Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
The U.S. Department of Education is awarding with the Iowa's education department with $276,000 to be used to on the state's FAFSA completion efforts during the summer months. Students can apply through FAFSA to be considered for need-based federal and state grants, federal student loans, scholarships, and work-study opportunities. The funds will be used to help applicants complete the FAFSA application process and remove challenges throughout the process.
