(Iowa) -- Iowans impacted by tornadoes, severe storms, and flooding in April and May have until August 23 to apply for FEMA disaster assistance.

Residents in 14 Iowa counties affected by the severe weather can apply for aid.

Homeowners and renters in the designated counties can apply online or by phone for assistance.

The deadline for applications is approaching, so those in need should act quickly to access FEMA aid.
