(Iowa City, IA) -- Fans will see some changes when they roll through the gates at Kinnick Stadium for Hawkeye football in two weeks.
Fans will pass through new state-of-the-art metal detectors designed to specifically detect heavy metals from weapons.
Event staff say the entry process should be more efficient since fans won't have to remove keys, wallets, or phones, or have their clear bags inspected.
The Hawkeyes open their season August 31st.
