(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- A local business is making a donation towards the major renovation of one of Cedar Rapids most visited spots.
NewBo City Market is receiving 50-thousand dollars from Corda Credit Union.
The money will go towards the multi-million dollar cost of a project to add a second floor to the northern half of the market building.
Julie Parisi, NewBo City Market Director tells Iowa's News Now that the addition will include more vendor spaces, a grocery store, and event spaces. She says the market will also be open seven-days-a-week after the renovations.
NewBo City Market will be closed during the six-month construction scheduled to begin in January.
