(Linn County, IA) -- The man accused of a quadruple murder in Linn County is ruled competent to stand trial

Attorneys for Luke Truesdell filed a motion for a competency hearing, arguing he may not know the severity of what he had done

The court struck down that motion Monday.

Truesdell is charged with four counts of homicide after Police say he admitted to attacking four victims with a metal pipe on June 5th.

His trial is scheduled for April.
