(Des Moines, IA) -- A popular downtown Des Moines bar has a new location. Owners of the former bar Gas Lamp, which was forced to close last year due to new building ownership on the corner of 15th and Grand Ave, have secured a spot in the East Village, near the intersection of E. 5th and E. Grand Ave. They say The Lamp will pay tribute to the old bar, but will not feature full bands. There are plans to have solo and duo acts in the new location. Owners say they are targeting a September opening date.
