(Rock Island, IL) -- A Quad Cities John Deere construction equipment dealer says sales are still good despite the company reporting a double-digit third-quarter sales drop.
Bobby Martin III, of Martin Equipment in Rock Island, Illinois tells WQAD News 8 that despite Deere reporting a 13-precent drop in net sales of construction and forestry equipment in Q3, new sales are increasing, and prices are falling.
"Me, personally, I say 10%," Martin said. "10% down from last year, just under, seems about right. But then also last year was kind of a high year, so we're just down to a normal year right now."
Martin says customers are always skittish around an election, and expects sales to pickup after November.
