(Scott County, IA) -- It will be a month before a decision on reinstatement for a Scott County Sheriff's Deputy is made.
The Sheriff's office says Sgt. Josh Wall was fired for conducting an unauthorized investigation of the sheriff's wife, a parole officer.
Wall claims she was overstepping her duties with a sex offender.
Prosecutors argue that Wall's actions were unjustified and rogue. Wall says he was fulfilling his duty and feared retaliation.
