The Omaha Public Power District says crews this week are using drones to inspect various substations throughout its service territory.
The inspections are to run through Thursday, though the schedule could change with weather conditions.
The district says it regularly uses helicopters and drones to inspect infrastructure.
The utility says its contractor for this work will notify local airfields and area aviation agencies of where the drone flights are being made.
