(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- The Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids set a new monthly passenger record in July.
CID had more than 135-thousand total passengers, marking a four-and-a-half-percent increase from the previous record set in 2019.
The airport is on track for a record-breaking year in total passengers, with a 9% increase over last year so far.
The Airport Director attributes the growth to airlines adding flights to Detroit, Los Angeles, Seattle, Columbus, and Madison for upcoming Hawkeye football games.
