(Des Moines, IA) -- The Des Moines Police Department is releasing the name of the man killed in a shooting on the city's south side on Sunday.
Police say the victim is 21 year-old Tariq Reynolds. Investigators say the shooting happened Sunday afternoon as Reynolds was trying to intervene during an argument between two men, one of whom was 19 year-old Martavius Green of Atlanta. Reynolds was shot during the argument and later died of his injuries.
Green is being held in the Polk County Jail charged with first degree murder.
