(Iowa City, IA) -- A former IT director at the University of Iowa facing criminal charges for enticing a minor will be collecting unemployment benefits.

Sixty-six year-old Mark Sevcik was placed on administrative leave in January after being charged, but what led to his firing in March was transferring his complimentary Hawkeye basketball tickets to his son, who sold them.

An administrative law judge ruled Sevcik's actions related to the ticket transfer didn't qualify as misconduct for denying unemployment benefits.
