(Iowa) -- Eleven Iowa charter schools will receive 4 million dollars in grant funding.
The charter schools are part of the Iowa Charter Start-Up and Expansion Grant program. Six of the eleven charter schools will receive $500,000 to be used on school facilities, transportation options, curriculum, and technology.
Those schools include:
- CIVICA Elementary Charter School, Cedar Rapids
- CIVICA Elementary Charter School, Des Moines
- Empowering Excellence Charter School, Cedar Rapids
- Great Oaks High School and Career Center, Des Moines
- Quest Forward Charter School, Cedar Rapids
- Quest Forward Charter School, Des Moines
Five charter schools will receive $200,000 to expand career education programs and meet growing enrollment demands.
Those schools include:
- Choice Charter School, Union
- Hamburg Charter School, Hamburg
- Horizon Science Academy, Des Moines
- West Central Charter High School, Maynard
- Storm Lake Charter School, Storm Lake
