(Omaha, NE) -- A bridge closure may cause some travel delays in Omaha. The Nebraska Department of Transportation says, weather permitting, the 180th Street bridge over U.S. Highway 6 (US-6 or West Dodge Road) will be closed overnight Tuesday into Wednesday (September 10-11). NDOT says there will be no access across the bridge, but the traffic ramps onto West Dodge will remain open.
NDOT says it is part of a larger project to improve 168th street that started in August and is expected to be completed by next spring. It includes curb and flume installation, culvert work, removing and replacing impacted guardrail and lighting, grading, erosion control and the replacement of an overhead sign structure.
