(Davenport, IA) -- Almost all of the plans have been approved for the Davenport School Board's Sudlow Middle School Addition and Renovation project.
The district is planning to close three elementary schools due to declining enrollment and is set to renovate Sudlow, and build an entire new school, Smart Middle School.
Construction on Sudlow is expected to begin this fall, and construction on Smart is expected to begin next spring.
Work is expected to be complete by April 24, 2027.
