(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Two people are recovering after a house fire Tuesday morning.
Emergency crews responded to reports of the fire around 1:10am Tuesday at a multi-family residence. Two residents needed help evacuating the building and were treated for non-life threatening injuries. Both individuals were taken to an area hospital and released. Firefighters also rescued nine cats and a dog.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
