(Davenport, IA) -- There's a new option for Quad Citians looking to get rid of old batteries.
The Waste Commission of Scott County is trying out a battery recycling drop box.
The commission says residents can drop household batteries from power tools, electronics, or musical greeting cards in the box outside their Carey Avenue facility, outside of regular business hours.
The Waste Commission still encourages residents to bring car batteries, damaged batteries, or data-containing devices to their Electronics Recovery Center.
