(Iowa City, IA) -- Iowa City is moving ahead with plans to enhance the Burlington Street Bridge over the Iowa River, that connects downtown and the University of Iowa campus. A consultant will soon being work on preliminary plans for a new structure.
Josh Moe, Iowa City Councilor suggests this is a good time to examine the damn under the bridge, and how it might be hindering future uses.
Iowa City has set aside 1.2-million dollars for the project.
