Nebraska will get almost $2-million dollars to reduce health hazards in public housing.

The U-S Department of Housing and Urban Development says projects will include removing lead-based paint, mold, and fire hazards. Both the Schuyler and Clarkson Housing Authorities, northwest of Omaha, will split the money.

Iowa will get almost $300,000 dollars for public housing safety improvements.
