(Iowa City, IA) -- The University of Iowa is renaming one of its health care campus roads after a new tradition.
The university says it's changing the former South Hospital Drive to “Hawkeye Wave Way” in honor of the custom started in 2017.
At the end of the first quarter of every Hawkeye home game, the crowd turns to wave to kids at the Stead Family Children’s Hospital.
The change also avoids a trademark dispute with the current name “For The Kids Way”.
