(Davenport, IA) -- The Davenport School District and Davenport Police say that seven non-credible threats have been made against schools this year--four in the past two weeks. But the chief of police says if you see a threat online, don't re-share it, report it to them.

Davenport Police Chief Jeff Bladel tells WQAD News 8 that "if these are known to be non-credible and they're continually being shared, that's still chewing into the resources of your police department, of your school district".

Davenport School District Superintendent TJ Schneckloth says attendance is down at schools that have received threats.
