Iowa Native NBA Broadcaster Dies at 91

(Williams, IA) -- An Iowa native turned Phoenix Suns broadcaster is dead at the age of 91. Al McCoy passed away peacefully, per release from the team. McCoy is a native of Williams, Iowa and grew up on a farm in rural Hamilton County. He graduated from Drake University in Des Moines in 1954 before spending 51 years as the voice of the Phoenix Suns, retiring in 2023.
