Teen Found Dead In Calhoun County, Iowa Identified

(Undated) -- A 17-year-old girl found dead in Calhoun County has been identified as Michelle "Luna" Jackson. The Sheriff's Office says Jackson was reported missing Sunday night. Her body was found the next morning. Twenty-one-year-old Nathaniel Bevers-McGivney is being held in the Carroll County Jail on abuse of a corpse charges.

Iowa's News Now reports Jackson's mom and sister went looking for her Sunday night and ran into Bevers-McGivney, who authorities say was covered in blood and had Jackson's scooter and other personal items.

An obituary for Jackson states private family services will be held September 26th at Laufersweiler Palmer and Sons Funeral Home in Gowrie. A Celebration of Life event will be held in the near future.
