(Davenport, IA) -- A Scott County Sheriff's Deputy who conducted a secret investigation of the Sheriff's wife won't be getting his job back.
The Civil Service Commission is ruling that Sergeant Josh Wall compromised his ability to do his job when he led a rogue investigation of Sheriff Tim Lane's spouse. She's a parole officer Wall believed was violating the rights of a sex offender.
Wall still has the option of appealing to a district court.
