DES MOINES, Iowa -- Iowa's new drought picture is a bit of a mixed bag.
This week's US Drought Monitor Map from the University of Nebraska's National Drought Mitigation Center shows more moderate drought in Western and Northwest Iowa, while a section of Southern Iowa is drought-free.
The map shows another week of ongoing moderate drought in Northeast Iowa.
Much of the state saw rainfall last week--some areas getting two inches or more.
Right now 94 percent of Iowa is under drought or near-drought.
