(Des Moines, IA) -- One person is in custody in connection to a shooting earlier this month in Des Moines.
The shooting happened a little after 8:15pm on September 6th on Des Moines' northwest side. Investigators say an adult male was taken to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest. Police say 44 year-old Aaron Pickens and two women were in the victim's apartment when the shooting happened.
Pickens was taken into custody Wednesday and is now facing multiple charges, including attempted murder, in connection to the shooting.
