(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Cedar Rapids is beginning a project to modernize its wastewater treatment facility. The city is partnering with the Iowa DNR, spending 348-million to improve aging water infrastructure and help protect the environment.

More than 100 local jobs will be created over the course of the four-year construction process.

The funding comes from the federal Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
