North Liberty Woman Charged With Threatening School Principal

(North Liberty, IA) -- A North Liberty woman is being charged with harassment after allegedly threating to kill a school principal.

A criminal complaint says 41 year-old Melody Peer threatened the principal of North Central Elementary School after meeting with him to dicsuss interactions her daughter had with another student at the school. The complaint says Peer became belligerent and started yelling at the principal, after which she was escorted out of the building.

A no-contact order has been filed, and Peer is being charged with harassment.
