(Omaha, NE) -- Omaha Firefighters are using a new tool to see sources of extreme heat and fire impossible to see with the bare eye or in a smoke filled room. The Omaha Professional Fire Fighters posted a video on their Facebook page that demonstrates the handheld thermal imaging device. A camera is pinned on the firefighter's coat, and the captain who is at another location using the hand-held screen can see the source of heat and direct firefighters.
