(Omaha, NE) -- First responders, their families, and community members took part in the annual Blue Mass earlier this morning, held at Mary Our Queen Catholic Church, located at 3405 South 118th Street in Omaha. The service honors those who have fallen in the line of duty.
Archbishop George Lucas blessed the police officers, firefighters, and medics who were present, along with their equipment.
The Blue Mass first took place in 1934.
