Rock Island Auction Barn Arson Suspect Pleads Guilty

(Rock Island, IL) -- A man charged in connection with burning down the Rock Island Livestock Auction Barn in February is going to prison.

Nineteen year-old Kadon Svec was sentenced to three years after he pleaded guilty to arson.

The February 24th fire destroyed multiple buildings on the property.

Two other men also face arson charges in the blaze.

Both pleaded not guilty to those charges in March and are awaiting trial.
