(Bettendorf, IA) -- Developers of a proposed 275-miilion dollar Cedar Rapids casino made their presentation to the Iowa Racing & Gaming Commission in Bettendorf yesterday.

They say the Cedar Crossing project promises over 500 full-time jobs and more than 1,100 construction jobs.

They also assured the Commission that the affect on other casinos would be minimal.

Consultant Suzanne Leckert told the Commission that impact on other Iowa casinos has been overstated in prior studies.

Commissioners say they'll review the hundreds of pages of documents and prepare questions for a site visit next month.

They hope to make a decision in early February.
