The Dawson County Sheriff's Office says on Tuesday, troopers were notified a Kia Soul was sought in connection with a stolen property investigation in Lexington. A trooper spotted the vehicle headed westbound on I-80, and tried to stop the driver near mile marker 219.

The trooper discontinued the pursuit due to public safety reasons. A short time later, another trooper saw the same vehicle traveling westbound on Highway 30. The two occupants then fled on foot.

Troopers and deputies utilized drones, an NSP K9, and an NSP Aircraft to search the area. The two subjects were found at a nearby farm and taken into custody.

The NSP says 37-year-old Steven Conner of Omaha was arrested for flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, obstructing a peace officer, criminal mischief, numerous traffic violations, and outstanding warrants.
