(East Moline, IL) -- An East Moline man is in custody accused of assaulting his three-month-old son.
Police say they were notified by The Illinois Department of Child and Family Services about a child brought to a Peoria hospital with suspicious injuries.
Investigators believe the infant's father, 23 year-old Damontinez Pierre is responsible for the injuries.
He's been charged with Aggravated Battery of a child, and is awaiting extradition to Rock Island County where the assault occurred.
