Striking Teamsters Rally At Corn Milling Plant in Cedar Rapids

(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Striking Cargill workers are trying to put pressure on the company to make a competitive wage offer.

The nearly 100 workers held a rally Thursday outside the Cedar Rapids corn milling plant to garner support.

Teamsters Local 238 members say they are paid significantly less than counterparts at other local plants.

The workers walked out October 1st.

Union reps are meeting with a federal mediator to try to resolve the impasse.
