Fall SCRUB Takes Place Saturday, October 19th

(Des Moines, IA) -- The second-to-last SCRUB event for the year takes place on Saturday, October 19th, beginning at 7 a.m. and lasting until 2 p.m. Residents of Des Moines can take large and bulky waste items to the Metro Transfer Station, at 4198 Delaware Avenue. Tree debris and other yard waste can be taken to the Compost Center, at 1601 Harriet Street, just off East 14th Street.

Des Moines Public Works says disposal of items is free for Des Moines residents.

The final SCRUB for 2024 takes place on Saturday, November 16th.
