Investigation Underway After Combine And Truck Collide In Northeastern Iowa

(Fayette Co, IA) -- An investigation is underway after a combine and pickup truck collided in northeastern Iowa.

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office responded to a crash about three miles south of Clermont at around 8:55 a.m. and found that 71-year-old Christian Miller was driving westbound in a combine, with the corn head attached, when he collided with an eastbound truck.

Only minor injuries were reported.

The combine sustained about $50,000 in damage.

The truck, driven by 19-year-old Ben Gibson, is considered a total loss.
