(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- A Cedar Rapids man is left with non-life threatening injuries after falling asleep at the wheel of a pickup truck and crashing into a ditch.
The Linn County Sheriff's Office responded to a single-vehicle crash around 10:53 a.m. on Highway 100 westbound west of Covington Road and determined that 35-year-old Arron Moris was driving westbound in a 2014 Ford F-150 pickup truck when officers say he fell asleep, drifted off the north side of the road, and traveled through an embankment before coming to a stop in the ditch.
He was taken to an area hospital to be treated for what officers say are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
Moris was cited for Failure To Maintain Control, No Valid Insurance, and No Seatbelt.
