Nebraska has had severe and moderate drought expand over many areas of the state, as a "Red Flag" warning is in effect into Thursday evening for eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa.
The new U. S. Drought Monitor shows severe drought in Northeast and Southeast Nebraska plus north central to northwest parts of the state.
Douglas and Sarpy Counties are in moderate drought.
Most of Nebraska is in severe to moderate drought with the southwest part of Nebraska abnormally dry.
