(Dasvenport, IA) -- Eastern Iowa residents will soon have better access to healthcare.
University of Iowa Healthcare is extending air transport services to the southeastern part of the state.
They're opening up a new helicopter base in Davenport for their AirCare service.
It'll be their fourth hub for physicians, flight nurses, and pilots.
The new base is expected to improve emergency medical response times and accessibility for residents in southeastern Iowa.
