(Marion, IA) -- Drivers in Marion say they're being issued tickets from red light cameras when they say they've stopped.

An officer with the Marion Police tells Iowa's News Now that he thinks he knows what the issue might be.

"What we see a lot of is people will do a ‘slow and go,'" Marion Police Department Public Information Officer Tom Daubs said. "They'll slow down and just keep that forward motion and roll right through it and that will trigger a red light violation."

Marion just re-activated the cameras to catch red-light violators this week.

The city was denied permission from the Iowa Department of Transportation to use the cameras to ticket speeders.
