(Perry, IA) -- The closed Tyson pork packing plant in Perry has a perspective buyer.
After shutting down operations in March, Perry Mayor Dirk Cavanaugh confirms to Iowa's News Now that if everything goes as planned, the buyer could finalize the deal early next year.
Operations would begin in the second quarter of 2025.
Tyson Foods employs more than 9,000 people across it's Iowa facilities.
