Iowa State returns to action on Saturday with its homecoming game against Texas Tech, while the Iowa Hawkeyes are in prime time hosting Wisconsin.

Iowa State needed a late fourth-quarter touchdown drive to survive against UCF before the bye week, tying the best start in program history. All that stands between ISU and 8-0 is the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
After starting 5-1, Texas Tech has dropped its last two games, allowing more than 450 yards of offense in each game. TTU ranks second to last in total defense in the Big 12, and last in scoring defense with 36 points allowed per game. That's six points more than any other team in the conference.
Iowa State has lost two games in a row to Texas Tech, losing the last meeting 14-10 in Ames in November of 2022. The Cyclones have the best scoring defense in the conference, allowing 14.4 points per game this season.

Wisconsin at Iowa
6:30 p.m.
The Hawkeyes scored 28 straight points to put away Northwestern last weekend in Iowa City, behind a three touchdown performance from running back Kaleb Johnson.
Johnson remains the Big Ten leader in rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, and rushing yards per game.
Wisconsin saw its three-game winning streak snapped on the road at Penn State last week. The Badgers have lost two games in a row to Iowa, and haven't won the Heartland Trophy in Iowa City since 2018.
With a win, Iowa will clinch its 12th-straight bowl appearance under Kirk Ferentz.
