(Moline, IL) -- An investigation is underway after a house fire in Moline left one family displaced.

Fire crews responded to the home in the 4200 block of 11th Avenue at around 10:30 Wednesday morning, and say they found heavy smoke coming from a two-story family housing unit.

WQAD News 8 reports all occupants were able to safely evacuate before crews arrived due to working smoke alarms.

Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire in about 15 minutes.

The Red Cross is now assisting the family.
