What about Nebraska election rules and etiquette at the polling place today?

For example: Can you share a voting booth?

Nebraska Secretary of State Bob Evnen tells KFAB Radio News, "Yes."

"Well, there's nothing to prevent that from occurring," Evnen says. "The voting booth is provided so that each voter can vote independently, but if people choose to vote together, I don't think there's anything to preclude it."

Evnen also says you can take a picture of your ballot and send it to social media. "I would have opposed that law" says Evnen. "I think that the secret ballot is sacred, and that when you allow such things then you create the potential for pressure that people will be asked to do such things."

But, Evnen says the law in Nebraska today is that you can do that;

The Secretary of State also says people should not wear clothing at the polling place that supports a candidate because that would be "electioneering" in the polling place, which is banned.

Evnen says children are very much welcome, as a civics lesson on American constitutional custom.
