(Winthrop, Iowa) -- Clean-up is underway after a fire Thursday at the Buffalo Creek Country Club (1925 Slater Avenue). Crews were called to the location after 6 a.m. after a report of a large fire. Crews found a Golf Cart shed with heavy fire and smoke coming from it. Crews quickly contained the fire and kept it from spreading to nearby structures. Mutual Aid was also requested from Aurora Fire for water and personnel. Approximately 18-20 golf carts were lost or damaged due to the fire. Crews remained on scene for approximately 2 hours and the cause is currently under investigation.
