Democrat Christina Bohannan's campaign says it will formally request a recount in Iowa's 1st congressional district election.
Republican incumbent Representative Mariannette Miller-Meeks leads by about 800 votes, according to the Iowa Secretary of State's website. She's declared victory in the race.
Bohannon has until Monday, November 18 at 5 p.m. to request the recount, and the results of the race must be certified by Secretary of State Paul Pate by December 2nd.
