Semi Driver Airlifted To Omaha After Crashing Into Western Iowa Creek

(Pottawattamie Co, IA) -- An investigation is underway after semi driver crashed into a creek off I-80 in western Iowa.

The Iowa State Patrol says the crash happened Thursday, November 14, just before 8:00 a.m. east of the Minden exit, when the westbound semi went off the road, crashed into Keg Creek, and came to a stop in the ditch.

The driver was trapped inside and had to be extricated from the semi when crews arrived at the scene.

The driver was airlifted to Omaha, Nebraska to be treated for serious injuries.
